Deliveroo Shopping: more partners and more orders

Together, over the last 10 years, we've delivered local food favourites to millions of customers around the world. From big name high street restaurants to local independents and daily essentials from grocery partners, we’ve delivered what people want and need straight to their doors.

We’re excited to announce the launch of hundreds of new shops joining the platform who sell much more than just food. These new partners mean customers can order items like flowers, DIY products, home essentials, kitchenwares, small appliances and so much more – all through Deliveroo.

With the addition of grocery we have already become more than a food company - and now we’re going further.

Orders from shopping partners are quick to prepare and customers typically order them throughout the day, not just at mealtimes. That means quicker collections, more orders all day long and more opportunities to earn!

Customers can also now send gifts to someone else. The customer can share the order tracker and the customer confirmation code with whoever they're sending it to.

The addition of new shopping items to the app means you’ll soon start to see orders offered in the rider app from shops selling all kinds of items. You should treat these orders just like any other order – you’ll see the fee, partner and customer location in the app upfront and you have complete freedom over whether you choose to accept the order.

Your Deliveroo kit will help to transport these orders safely and in good condition. You should make sure you always carry a bag that meets our minimum size and safety requirements to deliver these orders well. 

Make sure to pack all orders carefully to avoid any damage to the items, especially for delicate orders like flower bouquets. If an item is too big or you can't carry an order safely and securely with the bag you have, you should unassign through the app or contact Rider Support for help.

For gifts, ask for the confirmation code at the door as usual. As with all orders, it’s very important to keep orders sealed and respect customer privacy.
