Riding with us during Ramadan

Ramadan Kareem

Ramadan Kareem

As Ramadan is expected to begin tomorrow*, we want to extend our best wishes and support to all riders observing it.

We understand that working whilst fasting can be challenging, particularly when delivering orders, so we encourage participating riders to consider the following safety advice.

Take regular breaks

It's important to take regular breaks so that you can stay safe and focused throughout your day. Plan ahead to include these breaks before you start riding.

Have a nutritious meal before beginning your fast

Eating a healthy meal and making sure you hydrate properly in advance is essential. We recommend fuelling up on healthy carbohydrates, fruit, protein and plenty of water, and avoiding sugary foods and excessive caffeine as these can dehydrate you.

Choose breathable and warm clothing

The colder weather can make riding more physically demanding compared to warmer months. Wear breathable clothing that allows ventilation and ensure that you layer up to keep warm. Consider wearing thermal undergarments, insulated jackets, and windproof outer layers as well as gloves, a hat, and a scarf to protect you from the cold.

Feeling unwell?

If you start to feel unwell, it's crucial to take immediate action. Take a break and seek assistance if you need to. Don't hesitate to contact a member of Rider Support through your app or the rider website if you require guidance while on an order.

Remember, your health and safety are the priority, so listen to your body and take the necessary steps to take care of yourself.

Ramadan Kareem to those of you who celebrate and your families.
