We're making it easier for riders who speak multiple languages to read notes left by restaurants and customers. Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be turning on Apple's live translation feature in the rider app.
You'll be able to select text from restaurant and customer notes and see them translated into a number of languages, including English, Chinese, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Italian - you can see a full list on Apple's website. You'll also be able to have Siri read the translation aloud.
If you're using the rider app on an iPhone, simply highlight the notes left by the restaurant or shop, or the notes left by the customer, and tap 'Translate' in the menu that appears. The translation feature is provided by Apple for iOS, so it's only available for iPhones at the moment. You'll also need to make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 15 or above.
