What documents do I need?
You'll need all of the following documents and information to complete your application. If you don't have one or more of these documents, you will not be able to complete your application:
All riders will need to submit:
1) One document to prove your right to work in the UK as self-employed, which could be:
- UK/Irish passport
- EEA passport and share code
- EEA ID card (plus additional photo ID) and share code
- Non-EEA passport, with valid visa (including immigration status) and share code
- UK birth/adoption certificate with National Insurance number
2) One document to prove your address, which could be:
- Utility bill (excluding a mobile phone bill)
- Council tax bill
- HMRC letter
- Bank statement
- Proof of student address (for example, a university letter)
- Government letters
- Driving licence
3) One bank statement to verify your bank account details
4) One document with your National Insurance Number:
- Your National Insurance Card
- Benefit letter (or Jobcentre Plus letter)
- Payslip
- P45/P60
5) Two of the following documents for your criminal record check:
- UK/EU driving licence
- Utility bill from the last 3 months
- Benefit statement or letter from the last 3 months
- HMRC/Government department letter from the last 3 months
- Credit card statement from the last 3 months
- Bank or building society statement/account opening letter from the last 3 months
- UK Financial statement from the last 12 months
- P60/P45 Part 1A (Copy for employee) from the last 12 months
- Council tax bill from the last 12 months
6) A picture of your food delivery kit with your ID (unless you choose to order kit from Deliveroo)
Cars and scooters also require:
7) UK/EEA driving licence (or provisional licence and CBT for scooters)
8) One document as proof of food delivery insurance
9) A picture of your number plate
10) A picture of your vehicle with your ID
Some of these documents may need to be submitted in more than one step. All documents will be reviewed by Deliveroo or our third-party verification provider to ensure they're valid.
